BACK OVER PREVENTION
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Dodge Durango, 2021-2023 Chrysler Pacifica, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, Chrysler Voyager, 2022-2023 Jeep Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Ram Promaster vehicles. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence
A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will update the radio software or the software will be OTA, "Over-The-Air," free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning July 9, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's numbers for this recall are 66B and 79B.
AIR BAGS
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Pacifica and Voyager vehicles. The right and left side curtain air bags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
Consequence
An air bag with insufficient pressure retention increases the risk of ejection and injury during a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the side curtain air bags, as necessary free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning October 14, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are 06C, 54C, 55C.

Consequence
A restraint tie-down puck with loose fasteners may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed mailed July 7, 2025. Owners may contact Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359.

2022 Chrysler Voyager Common Problems by Component
4 owner complaints grouped by vehicle system.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
2 complaintsOwners report issues with the electrical system of the 2022 Chrysler Voyager, including problems with cruise control and horn functionality. One owner describes the cruise control causing unintended acceleration, requiring immediate disengagement to regain control. Another owner reports the lift gate mechanism draining the battery and a horn malfunction, with parts on backorder, suggesting a potential widespread issue. These complaints arise in vehicles around two years old, with no specific mileage mentioned. Safety implications include loss of control at high speeds and inability to signal with the horn, which may concern potential buyers.
AIR BAGS
1 complaintI used to do business with this car but I can not now since we have this safety recall. I took the car to the dealer they said `it should not be problem to fix`. They kept the car for two days and changed my tire did nothing about the safety recall. I had to pay for the tires for a car I can not use. This is unacceptable, they literally played me.
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
1 complaintSafety-relatedThe contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Voyager LX. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at slow speeds into a home garage, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own, colliding with the garage door. After which, the vehicle reversed and continued to accelerate across the street, coming to a complete stop after colliding with another garage door. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact reported pain in his neck and back and was treated by paramedics; however, he refused transport to an area hospital. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.

Look Up a VIN →How We Calculate Reliability Scores
Auto Reliability Index scores are calculated on a 0–100 scale using a weighted formula that combines multiple public data sources. Each factor is weighted based on its predictive value for real-world ownership experience.
Key Ranking Factors
Complaint Severity
NHTSA owner complaints weighted by component category (e.g., powertrain, safety systems, electronics, cosmetic) — safety-critical issues carry more weight than cosmetic ones. Adjusted for sales volume so high-volume models aren't unfairly penalized.
Repair Costs
Independent reliability ratings based on repair frequency, average repair costs, and severity of typical repairs for each model.
Recall Impact
Number of NHTSA recalls weighted by severity. “Stop driving” and fire-risk recalls are penalized more heavily than minor software or labeling recalls.
Issue Diversity
Measures how many major vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, braking, etc.) have recorded complaints. A vehicle with issues spread across many systems may indicate systemic quality issues.
Scores are grouped into four tiers:
- 80–100: Excellent — Top-tier reliability, minimal issues
- 60–79: Good — Reliable with some minor concerns
- 40–59: Mixed — Notable issues, research before buying
- 0–39: Risky — Significant problems, proceed with caution
Data is sourced from NHTSA recall records, owner complaint filings, and independent repair databases. Scores are recalculated as new data becomes available. While the weighting model is proprietary, all underlying data sources are public and traceable.
