2024 Genesis G80 Recall Details
2 recalls have been issued for the 2024 Genesis G80. All recall repairs are performed free of charge at authorized dealerships.
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
Hyundai Motor America (Genesis) is recalling certain Genesis 2022-2026 GV70, 2023-2025 G90, 2021-2025 G80, and GV80 vehicles. Fuel may leak at the pipe connection between the fuel pipe and fuel rail.
Consequence
A fuel leak increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and tighten, or replace the fuel pipe as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk mailed June 3, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Genesis' number for this recall is 033G. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 11, 2026.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2023-2024 G80, GV80, 2025 GV70 and 2023-2025 GV70 "Electrified" vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Consequence
An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and update the instrument panel display software, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 26, 2025. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 026G.

LANE DEPARTURE
1 complaintThe contact owns a 2024 Genesis G80. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speeds, the passenger’s side rear corner blind spot sensor intermittently became inoperable. The contact was unaware of any warning lights being illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the radar detector was the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Genesis of Merrillville, (1000 81st Ave., Suite 100, Merrillville, IN 46410); who determined there were unknown parameters causing the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
