SEATS

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, and 2024 HR-V, Pilot, and Acura Integra vehicles. The driver's seat cushion frame may not have been tightened properly, which can result in a loose seat. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."

Consequence

A loose driver's seat may not adequately restrain the driver during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the driver's seat cushion frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 10, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are ONC, KND, BNE and ZNF. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning February 5, 2026. STEERING

51 complaints

Owners of the 2024 Acura Integra frequently report issues with the steering system, particularly describing a "sticky" or "frozen" steering wheel that requires extra effort to turn, especially at highway speeds or after prolonged driving. Symptoms often include the steering wheel feeling locked or requiring overcorrection, which can lead to swerving or abrupt movements. These issues typically emerge around 3,000 to 10,000 miles, with some owners noting the problem becomes more pronounced over time. Safety implications are evident as several complaints highlight the potential for loss of control or overcorrection, although there are no reports of crashes. Prospective buyers should be aware of these recurring steering issues, especially if considering a vehicle with mileage in the range where these problems are commonly reported.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

2 complaints

Owners report issues with the forward collision avoidance system in the 2024 Acura Integra, specifically related to the adaptive cruise control (ACC) feature. Complaints frequently mention the emergency braking system being activated when approaching overhead signs or while passing other vehicles, despite no immediate threat being present. Symptoms include the digital cluster indicating a phantom vehicle ahead and the collision warning light illuminating, leading to unexpected braking. These issues occur during highway driving, with no specific mileage range noted. While no crashes are reported, the sudden braking poses a potential safety risk, particularly with trailing vehicles.

2 complaints total

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

2 complaintsSafety-related

Owners of the 2024 Acura Integra report two distinct issues under the unknown or other category. One issue involves the vehicle shutting off unexpectedly while pulling into traffic or reversing, which continues to roll until the brakes are applied, posing a potential safety hazard. Another complaint describes misalignment in the rear camera's parking assist lines, leading to a crash into a garage. These problems occur at unspecified mileages, but both highlight potential risks, including loss of control and property damage, which prospective buyers should consider.

When in REVERSE the passenger mirror dips to give a better view of the curb. Once the vehicle is taken out of REVERSE the mirror does not return to the original position. I have had the vehicle in the dealership and they say they cannot reproduce the error. I have brought it in with the mirror in the dipped position. The rear window defroster does not operate to normal standards on the rear windshield. For example, it took almost 30 minutes for the rear defroster to begin working from the time it was powered on. This was on a relatively warm day, with condensation on the back windshield. Rear visibility was affected on my drive. I do plan to have the dealer inspect since it's a brand new car, but have not yet. No warning lights, etc. Multiple complaints on Integra forum similar to this complaint.

How We Calculate Reliability Scores

Auto Reliability Index scores are calculated on a 0–100 scale using a weighted formula that combines multiple public data sources. Each factor is weighted based on its predictive value for real-world ownership experience.

Key Ranking Factors

1

Complaint Severity

NHTSA owner complaints weighted by component category (e.g., powertrain, safety systems, electronics, cosmetic) — safety-critical issues carry more weight than cosmetic ones. Adjusted for sales volume so high-volume models aren't unfairly penalized.

2

Repair Costs

Independent reliability ratings based on repair frequency, average repair costs, and severity of typical repairs for each model.

3

Recall Impact

Number of NHTSA recalls weighted by severity. “Stop driving” and fire-risk recalls are penalized more heavily than minor software or labeling recalls.

4

Issue Diversity

Measures how many major vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, braking, etc.) have recorded complaints. A vehicle with issues spread across many systems may indicate systemic quality issues.

Scores are grouped into four tiers:

  • 80–100: Excellent— Top-tier reliability, minimal issues
  • 60–79: Good— Reliable with some minor concerns
  • 40–59: Mixed— Notable issues, research before buying
  • 0–39: Risky— Significant problems, proceed with caution

Data is sourced from NHTSA recall records, owner complaint filings, and independent repair databases. Scores are recalculated as new data becomes available. While the weighting model is proprietary, all underlying data sources are public and traceable.

Get notified when new recalls or reliability data is added for the Acura Integra.
